Hailing from Bedford, England, Reuben Addis started attending the local reggae dances in 1977, when he was just 14. In the early 80s he met Dennis Bedeau, and they started dreaming of building their own studios. Dennis (better known as Mixman) set up Blakamix, and the very first release on the label was 'Don't Rush Me' by Reuben.
Reuben is a singer, a player of several instruments, a producer and a dub mixer. By the late 80s he built his own Unitone Soundimentional studio and he began working with local singers like Idren Natural, Dennis Nolan, Jimmy Ranks and Issis Dread. He has collaborated with lots of vocalists and musicians over the years, and his works have appeared on various labels. The album 'Zion Chant' was released by Dubkey in January 2014.
Unitone Soundimentional is also a sound system, occasionally, with Reuben at the controls flashing his latest dub mixes and praising Jah Rastafari continually.
