Jermaine Michael broke unto the music scene in 2010 after he entered the Digicel Rising Star Competition, he was oneof the top-three competitor.
Even though he did not won the competion he did not let this stop him. Jermaine hails from the parish of St. Ann, Jamaica.
He has just released (2011) his first single "Corner Stone", the track is produced by his management company,Stashment Production.

Clearly motivational, one get the feeling that the repetitive plays by some jocks signifies personal beliefs in the message sent across the airwaves.
As depicted in the video also in rotation, the music producer that chased Jermaine from his studio door, held his head with both hands when he saw him appeared on his television screen.
The 24-year-old St Ann resident acknowledges that the 'world stage' is a totally different scenario from the 'Rising Star' stage. Of course, the competition is the best launch pad any potential artiste could ask for.
He said: "Rising Star takes you to the door of the world stage. Thereafter, its up to you to convince people that you are who you say you are."
His music can be classified as American Country Music sound, and this is what Jamaicans and now the world have come to know him for.
