Biography

Rubera Roots Band is based on the concept of an active search for the rastafarian livity that through roots music – the roots reggae – shares a natural manifest of african and creole culture. The band brings a message of militance and always searches to bring an africanist message and of african ancestrality. The band was born in 2013, in the gathering and sharing of musicians who made, and still do, part of other musical projects inside the roots reggae strand. Rubera Roots Band wants to share a positive and spiritual vibration through their music, a manifest that is beeing well accepted by the portuguese and african massive, with themes like Militanti Roots and Jah Rastafari. The set goal is to touch the conscience and spirit of the universal Man for an awakening of a positive living based on the values of human universality like love, justice, equality, solidarity, respect, as well as other values that fit into a prosperous and militant rastafarian livity.
